Arcadia

An idyllic world, a mythological sign, a dream of eternal beauty. Arcadia is the freestanding marble sink that interprets the ideal of accomplished beauty. A pagan baptismal font, a basin that welcomes, purifies, accompanies the daily ritual. A body of water in which to be narcissistically reflected as in a natural lake.

A sculpture in the round, a capacious, soft, rounded basin that is grafted onto a base just as in the classical image of a font. An important presence that defines the hierarchy of the bathroom environment, a center of gravity around which all the relationships between the elements and the people who inhabit this space will revolve. The charm of stone, the preciousness of marble, the water falling from above to slowly “excavate” the material.
