CARSICO is a unique and precious work of art, a sink hand-carved by skilled craftsmen who have taken care of every single detail to create an exceptional piece. The core holes that
usually remain hidden inside the body of marble sinks and serve to lighten their weight become the protagonists. They emerge through the removal of material around the body, creating a masterpiece of elegance and refinement.
These holes reveal structural and decorative potential, becoming a complex and sculptural stone architecture, characterized by irregular solids and voids and contrasts of light and dark effects that enhance its essence.
Every imperfection, every mark, every grouting from the manufacturing process has been intentionally preserved to tell the extraordinary story of this piece.

In this new project, Paolo Ulian has chosen to reveal the core-drilled holes that are usually concealed within marble washbasins
The holes are exposed by removing material, first with a CNC router and then through manual intervention by the craftsman. In this way, the drill holes acquire a valuable aesthetic significance in addition to their function of reducing weight
