Nadir

Nadir, the counterpart of zenith, the pole that is never seen, the most silent point, where form becomes depth. The contrast between two archetypical forms: the outer curve of the hemisphere and the cone that carves into the interior.

Fullness and emptiness in balance, matter and light that meet. In natural stone, Nadir is a sink, and can also be interpreted as a furnishing complement, bowl, or vase. An essential object, in which function becomes a contemplative gesture.
